The majestic mountains of the Southern Alps have made the West Coast a truly unique destination, providing its abundant resources and spectacular scenery. Stretching 600km along the coast from rainforest in the north to glaciers and majestic landscapes in the south, the West Coast has many colours. Discover the history and heritage from coal mining relics and historic townships to the spectacular mountains, stunning coastal vistas and everything in between. The West Coast is awe-inspiring and will never fail to surprise and delight.
Our tour starts with a flight to Nelson and then on through the spectacular Upper & Lower Buller Gorge. We continue through Westport and spend time exploring the Denniston Plateau with it's mining history. At Charleston we join the Rainforest Train for a trip through the awe-inspiring Nile River Canyon. Our tour also visits Punakaiki, the Hokitika Gorge, Treetops Walkway and the Franz Josef glacier. Other highlights include the White Heron Sanctuary Tour and the Lavender Farm.
