Taranaki Garden Festival

The Powerco Taranaki Garden Spectacular, formerly known as the Taranaki Rhododendron Festival is now in its 30th year. New Zealand’s premier spring garden festival, is a festival like no other offering the most stunning range of spectacular gardens. The warm and hospitable garden owners is what  has made this event international famous. The festival gardens show the care and dedication that only those who love growing things can provide. Presenting almost 50 fabulous gardens from newly created concepts to well developed and mature   landscapes, the festival encourages you to take the time to wander through many and meet the garden owners who are knowledgeable and helpful.

Twilight Travel & Tours have been visiting the festival for over ten years and have developed an itinerary that showcases the best the festival has to offer.
Our original, signature tour "Secret Gardens of Taranaki & Beyond", has a range of gardens including our favourites from previous years and a selection of gardens that are new comers to the festival in recent years. This tour also travels further south to Kimbolton, just north of Feilding, where we visit Cross Hills Gardens featuring New Zealand's largest and most comprehensive collection of flowering rhododendrons and azaleas.
